Thanks Greg,
The monitor is a new flat screen and I notice with saving images that if I have ICC profile checked, that's when the white in the image looks blue. So every time I save a jpg or png I have to remember to uncheck the ICC profile. I never had to do that with my older system.
But yes, it's in RGB mode. And actually , just checking now, looking at the image on another system, a pale yellow I have doesn't even show up.It just all looks white.
I think what's confusing me is that there are so many variables with photoshop colors.
i.e. trying to match my monitor colors to my epson workforce 1100 printer.
Or viewing the images in Firefox (the background of a web page I made)
grhh...

Sue,Without knowing your exact situation I can only give you general advice...
check the following:
When you save in PS is the ICC Profile sRGB IEC611966-2.1 checked?
If not you might want to try checking it. This will embed a profile in your images for sRGB.
Many people use this as a default as it is generally accepted on the web.
When you open an image check to see what the image "mode" is.
Under the Image menu look at >mode -- RGB should be checked as well as 8 or 16 bits.
Lastly have you calibrated your monitor or is it set up with the defaults from the manufacturer?
If you have calibrated it check it again to make sure it has not drifted out of adjustment.
If you have not calibrated it you might want to consider getting it checked.
Do the images look good on other PC's? or are they blue there as well?
