Very interesting topic -- one I've thought about myself.
I watched the video. I've been aware of DNG for a while, but haven't felt any pressing need to either convert my old files or switch to DNG for my new ones. It seems to make sense, but I'm not sure. As for my old files, the best of them I've worked on and saved as TIFFs. As for the new ones...
How is it that there's no loss of quality or information even though the file size is reduced? Is it merely a more efficient system?
Terry's video is very interesting, but I have to note that he works for Adobe -- the originator of the DNG format. They don't seem to have anything to gain, but still, I always consider the source.
How about it? Have you begun taking in DNG? Are you converting old files to DNG? Anyone?
