RE: [photoshop-beginners] Slide help neede

It does not look as if the background is too bright. You want your eyes to
focus on the girls, a darker background would make that difficult as the
girls would blend into the background more, not less. Not to mention that
only 2/3 of the background is bright, the rest is dark. I think that what is
needed is to blur the background a little. Not too much, but enough to put
the focus on the girls. The best way would be to mask the foreground. Also,
if your copy of PS supports it, convert the layer into a smart object. This
way you can adjust the blur till it is the way you like it.

I am scanning old slides and need some advice with PS. Here is a link to a
jpg (the original is a large TIF file) of one of the photos.

The background to too bright. I want to darken the background, while not
touching the girls. I thoght about using the "burn tool", but thought
someone might know of a better way.

Any suggestions?
