Re: [photoshop-beginners] Alternate Software for Photoshop

I agree with you there. I have looked at Gimp but can't figure it out at all. Of course, I am
not very computer literate and can't follow instructions. I don't do much in altering photographs but
take those photographs or pictures to make designs. In order for me to get photoshop again I will
have to buy a new computer...and I want an Apple. I am going to the Apple store to look (not buy yet)
and am thinking of a lap top. I am using a desktop right now which works fine. I will have to see whether
I can get a mouse with it, otherwise it won't be worth it to me. This is an expensive proposition!

What tools?  While some alternatives may have some of the tools I have found that using something other than Photoshop has always left me wanting to stick with Photoshop.  Photoshop, after all, is the premier photograph editing program with high end graphic design capabilities.

Hello,

I like the tools which are used within Photoshop CS5.  Is there another software graphics program that I can get which uses all or most of these tools?
