[photoshop-beginners] Re: CS6 Beginner 101

Lorna,
Sorry, I don't understand what you mean...where should I type the letter "X"?

The thin line (frame) that's centered on my imported photo/image has me concerned. Does that frame represent a sheet of paper that s/b of a predetermined size or is that thin frame line something else? Should that frame's set-up preferences reflect the dimensions of the photo being imported?...if so, how is this done?

If that "frame" line is set smaller than the final print size or does not proportionally match an imported photo's dimensions from the start, will that negatively effect final printing? (i.e. If a 3x4 photo is imported and the final printed size is to be (proportionally)12x16 would a 5x7 "thin frame line" that's seen centered on an imported image effect anything?

What settings, if any, are necessary to maintain ratios (3x4, 12x16, or maybe or 4/3) when an image will be stretched (expanded) to a larger size. (Import 3x4 photo but plan to print a 12x16 image...same dimension ratios).

Sorry if these questions seem as clear as mud.
Thanks for your help.
