Re: [photoshop-beginners] troubles saving a file

22x36 is a pretty big file to save as a .tiff at 300ppi....maybe you don't have enough umph for that size a file?  You can make more space available that PS can use which may help, but if you get this to work, don't touch anything on the computer while it's rendering the file....you don't want to disturb it if you'd taxed for operating power already.  shut down emails, etc...

Save the native file you have then reboot the computer and don't start anything but PS....this will allow you a few more resources.....  good luck

Hello: I am trying to save a fairly large file as a .jpg. I keep getting the following message..."could not save a copy (file name) because of a program error." I'm using PS 7 and have saved very large files in the past with no issues. I can save smaller files. The photo is a 22 x 36 with a resolution of 300 p/i. Hope someone can give me some advice. It will save as a TIFF but most printers need a JPG. Also, what are some of the on-line photo printers/labs y'all use? Thanks for any and all assistance!
