[photoshop-beginners] Aligning images after Photomerge?

I merged several photos into a panorama. The results are quite impressive.

But there remain a few glitches.

One is that a trail on a hillside has a misalignment: it stops and a
few feet below it starts again. Like it was affected by an earthquake
fault.

I tried selecting the portion of the image that contains this segment
and moving it up or down. This does allow me to align the trail but
that misaligns other portions of the image.

So, basically, I need to figure out how to make the trail one
straight line again.

How is this done?

I can't post the image as I was asked to not show it. (It's a sacred
place in the Himalaya mountains.)

Thanks,
Dave
