Strange dates on the headers of his postings. It appears his posts took 9 days to appear after 9 days I'd be a little peeved also. I wonder where they went?

No, you were not mistaken. I think you did receive a reply from
Ardith to one of your first two posts.
I didn't reply because I am not adept enough yet to comment on those
two books; although I do have them.
Since my interest is mainly about the technical aspects of printing
or a new use for a PS tool that I was unaware of. I tend to either
read cursorily or delete stuff that doesn't match my interests. That
doesn't mean your questions are not valid or mistaken just that it
didn't tweak anyone's interest.
I also sometimes do not respond because I know other individuals have
much more knowledge and will give a better answer.
Hang in, read a bit and I think you'll see what the ebb and flow of
messages is on this list.
One of the other photography related lists I belong to is "Digital -
The B&W Print". Many of those folks are so far ahead of my learning
curve that I don't think I have ever posted except once and this
amazing professional graciously sent me more material than I can
digest in a year.
