Hi Joe. Thanks for your response: "open actions window, highlight action, at bottom of window is a trash can.  Click on this." 

I don't see a trash can at the bottom (or anywhere) on the actions window. There's a trashcan on the history window...and a trashcan in the "layers channels paths" window. But I don't see one associated w actions :-(
