Under the "View" menu Photoshop has a Gamut Warning feature that will show you when you are out of Gamut for any given color.

Go to View>Gamut Warning.

you can also set up the CMYK proof preview in that menu.

use CARE with the settings as they change the way your monitor displays the image in Photoshop and you do not want to make changes unless you are very sure of the intended actions.
