RE: [photoshop-beginners] Cannot Save As

I was only a trial user of CS3 (my first versions I owned have been CS4 and now CS5).   but a quick search at the Adobe web site found a somewhat similar issue.  I have included the link to the forum exchange.

What FILE FORMAT are you trying to save as? .PSD, .JPG etc...

That sounds like something outside of Photoshop is interfereing with file saving.

None of what you describe should be possible with a clean copy of Photoshop.

But bad anti-virus, disk compression utilities, etc. could cause behaviors like that.
