[photoshop-beginners] need color settings expert for PhotoShop CS3

I'm going crazy with color settings.

I had to reinstall PhotoShop CS3 and now I cannot get my colors right. When I make a png or jpg drawing, the white comes out as blue and I just don't know how to manage the color settings. It's driving me crazy. Can anyone help?

Is there a good document somewhere?
