[photoshop-beginners] Re: Creating vector drawing from photo of line drawing

The lines should be as crisp and as black as can be and the background as white as can be before resampling to reduce the amount of fuzziness in the final size.

I would split that 200% and do it in two stages.

Step one start out with your image resolution at 300 ppi
Make your lines as crisp and as black as you can by making adjustments with levels and/or curves. (Is this line drawing B&W? or does it have shading?)

Step two increase image by 1/2 of 200% Then recheck adjustments and do them again.

Step three finish up with the final 1/2 and again check the adjustments to get rid of any unwanted fuz, blur, pixelation which ever you want to call it.


There are more adjustments that can be used if needed but without seeing it in front me It's hard to actually tell you what to do to get the best results. I might even throw in a couple of filter adjustments to improve the lines.

Oh and give the Contrast adjustment a shot.
