[photoshop-beginners] Creating vector drawing from photo of line drawing

Hi

I am new to photoshop. Studying Web Design at a local community college. Expected to know the basics.

This posting is not part of my studies however. I have three 30 x 40 drawings of a ship in 1/8" to the foot scale. I would like it in 1/4" scale.

I propose to take a picture of each drawing with a 10 mp camera. Then photoshop it 200%. Because it is a line drawing that should be fine. But it would be nicer if I could convert the photo, most likely a jpg, into a vector type drawing.
