Hi Maggie and welcome. Going from Elements to CS5 is a big difference but its
one you can easily overcome and pick up all the new techniques I'm sure. Here is
a link about the grid if this doesn't work let me know and we'll see what else
could be going on there.

Hi All,
I'm new here so first, greetings from Pennsylvania, USA! I'm also new to
Photoshop. I had Elements 8 but recently upgraded to CS5 and everything seems so
difficult all of a sudden..
Anyway, I somehow got that grid on my workspace and can't get rid of it. I went
under preferences which did not give that info.
Can anyone help? Thank you!
