[photoshop-beginners] Re: Importing an image outline to Photoshop

thanks.

i got my result but in a different way. here is what i did.

  • opened png file. it has a quadrilateral and i want to import (get) it's outline in PSD file.
  • created a new layer. using line command, drew quadrilateral's outline.
  • deleted the original(initial) layer
  • copied this outline to the PSD file and pasted there.
i know it is a workaround and there will be more efficient ways to do this.

i could not follow your suggestion directly.
reason?

when i open my Photoshop file and .png drawing as 2 files in photoshop, i don't know how to get the outline from png file to photoshop file.

can u share your experience?

regards,
ashiq
