RE: [photoshop-beginners] Two CS 5s

They are not "plain" and "not plain" versions, one is 32-bit and the other
is 64 bit. The 32 bit will run on old computers and new ones. The 64-bit
will run ONLY on new, 64-bit computers. For the most part they are
identical, you will want to keep both on your machine until all of your
plugins are 64-bit. Your version of Color Efex 2 is for 32-bit systems
only, it can run on a 64-bit system, BUT it will only interface with a
32-bit version of PS. You will need to keep your 32-bit system to run your
plugins, and you will need to upgrade your plugins to 64-bit, or wait until
64-bit versions come along.

Unfortunately, I do not have any idea of why you are not displaying the
image in the 32-bit version. How are you trying to open the photo? Are you
using "Open" from the File Menu, or are you trying to use Bridge???

Subject: [photoshop-beginners] Two CS 5s

It looks like I installed two CS 5s on my computer, one of them is 64 bit.
Question 1: Do I need two of them? Question 2: With the "plain" CS 5 when
I call up a photo to work on nothing shows up on the screen. But I do get a
photo when I do the same on the 64 bit. How can I fix this on the "plain"?

Also I can download some of my older software into the "plain" CS 5, Color
Efex 2. But not on the 64 bit.

Thanks for any help.
