Re: [photoshop-beginners] PS CS6 brushes are gone

I'm not sure how to tell exactly how the autolevel differ between CS3 and CS6, but in CS3 they look much better. Everything is adjusted better for contrast, color and light. In CS6 when I do an autolevel the contrast seems muddy. I imagine there;s a way to set a button so it will adjust the way I want it to (?)

How did auto levels work in cs3?.  I can find it if you got to image/adjustments/levels and there is a button for auto.  Also if you open the level adjustment layer there is also a button for auto

oopps. I think I've got them. They are in a completely different menu.
Why do they always try to fix the stuff that already works.

Now if I could just get auto levels to work the way it did in CS3...

hmm... Hi Joe, It seems I can see them in  (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit) Presets)
but photoshop does seem to be able to even get to that folder or something.
oh gawd I hope I don't have to reinstall....

Do a search for *.abr to see if you can see where your brushes are (abr is the addobe extension for brushes)

I apologize if this is a repeat. While using PS Cs5, all of the sudden all of my brushes are gone except for the brushes I had open. All of the basic brushes and dozens of others I have downloaded.
Anyone got any ideas what happened???? And how I can get them back???
