Greg, Do XMP Files only pertain to RAW & NEF images? I did what you indicated and sorted by file name in Recycle Bin. It told me alot that is confusing (to me - basic dummy). Nothing I could understand, so selected one item & restored it to CAXMP file folder. Located restored item from recycle in CAXMP folder but still can't determine anything further. There are 20,000+ items still in CAXMP folder, but they seem to begin around late 2011 & early 2012. We have photos back to 2005, so why no XMP for them? Are XMP only for RAW & NEF? Which I have noticed recently in my photo downloads (new camera may be source). Otherwise we never shot RAW or NEF. I know I'm being confusing but it's due to trying to learn complicated computer/digital stuff at an old dog's age! Please bear with me, thanx, Trish

The Image file name should...Should be a part of the file name...
Example...
GJG_001.NEF would have a GJG_001.XMP file with it.
If you sort the recycle bin by file name they should match up with deleted files image files.
Any that do not match need to be restored to the folders they came from.
