Re: [photoshop-beginners] Delete XMP Files?

Trish,
If you re-install PSE it will find your old catalog.  You can create a new one anytime you like to keep images separate and manage large collections. A re-install puts the program right back where it was and an un-install always leaves your filters, actions, and catalogs alone since they are of some use to future versions of the program.  The XMP files should have been stored with the original images and if you deleted the image from within the PSE Organizer then the XMP would go to the trash with it.  Deleting just the images from the trash has left you with the XMP's and a small case of confusion...

Glad to be of help on the second part.
