[photoshop-beginners] Batch Actions problem

I have a number of images in a folder that I wanted to insert a  copyright symbol along with my name.  I recorded all the actions , saved the file in a jpeg format  and size and then stopped the recording.   I then proceeded to run the process.  Trouble is, that it stops at each picture asking me what format (PSD, Tiff, Jpeg, etc)  I want to save it in and what size of file.  I find it strange that it’s asking me this, as this was part of my action process. I’m running CS2.
