That's a LARGE image size (dimensions) you're working with, that's why... you are going to have to make that font much larger than 72 points for an mage of that size...
Here is my image size:
Pixels W 5184 H 3156
Document size:
W 182.88 cm H 121.92
Resolution 72 pixels/inch
I tried typing 300 pixels/inch and it made no difference

Stan,
The resolution of the image that you are working on is probably very high. The higher the resolution of the image, the smaller the type will appear. 300ppi is a good resolution for something that you intend to print. Reset it to 300ppi by >Image > Image Size > Resolution then type in 300 pixels/inch.

Can someone please help me with a problem I'm having can't seem to find an answer. I'm using Photoshop CS2 and I tried adding text to an image. Trouble is that even at 72 pt the text is only about ¼ " tall. I can type in a bigger number which will increase the font size, but I believe at 72 that my font should be huge. At 10pt. I can can hardly see my text My file size is 7.14 MB .
Thank you in advance
