Hi Nancy,
In PS go to Window > Clone Source then uncheck the box for Show Overlay. That oughta fix your problem.
The overlay is very helpful when trying to clone straight lines, etc but it can be very annoying at other times as you have discovered. :o)

When I select the clone tool it is like it has become magnetic and makes a copy over my original and whenever I try to pick a place to clone it sticks to it and moves the copy around...very annoying and driving me crazy..it never used to do that.Does anyone know how to fix it? Nancy H.
