Thank you so much Clay... I did try this with Adobe support but it didn't help.
I just tried it again from your suggestion but I get to page two and don't know what to click.
I think the best thing for me is to get a Mac laptop with photoshop.
What most people do not understand about me is that I am just barely
above computer illiterate. The problem is this... I am able to work Dreamweaver
for my website on a minimal level (http://suziejean.com); I have manipulated
photoshop CS2 to make designs (http://susancomputerdesigns.blogspot.com and
I can make blogs . But in truth, I do not know what I am really doing. I do not understand
computer language at all, am unable to follow instructions. I can't explain what I am doing either.
I have trouble with simple things that others can do, such as Facebook.
What I did with Dreamweaver
and photoshop is the trial and error method...figured out my own way of doing everything. I learned that
if you click on "this icon" "this will happened." In fact, I do not understand layers at all
and never used them. I know layers are primary for photoshop but I figured out how to
get around them. The result of my level with computers is that when anything goes wrong
I am completely lost. I did follow the link you sent but got stuck.
This is all beyond me!!
Thank you again for your help.
Susan

Adobe shut down the server for activation of CS2 products due to a technical issue. They have, however, made CS2 available for download that does not need to be activated. If you need to maintain your copy of CS2 you can download it from here:
On the other hand I would almost always suggest staying fairly current with computers and OS programs. Advances in systems generally speaking make them work better and faster. I'm not a MAC user so I don't know all that much about them but I have always subscribed to get as much of a system as you can reasonably afford.

Subject: [photoshop-beginners] inquiry and in need of advice
I have a Mac mini which is several years old OS version 10.6.8, so it's an older machine.
I have been using photoshop CS 2 on it, which was adequate for my needs.
I basically make designs out of photos and post them on my blog:
The other day, suddenly, the photoshop stopped working. Adobe indicated that they
suspended license on this software...something like that. I tried finding the disk that
I bought so many years ago and can't. Someone suggested that I download Gimp
and looked at it on someone else's computer. It looks quite complicated for me. I think
it would take me a long time to understand it the way I do the photoshop I have been
using...which was limited knowledge.
I understand that most of the photoshop programs sold today would not work on
my computer. Other than this, my computer is working well and I don't want to give it up.
What I would like to know is this:
l. Would I be able to have a simple photoshop program on a lab top Mac computer?
If so, what would you recommend.
2. If I get a lap top computer, what do I need to do so that I don't have to ask anyone to
come and install it for me. I have a router that is hooked up to my computer and I have
an Ipad that works from that router.
Thank you very much for any advice you can give to me.
Susan
