Is it 2 gb rather than 2 mb? If so that is probably the problem, not enough memory. She probably needs to get as much memory as possible. Is it 32-bit, or 64-bit?? 32-bit can support only 4gb, whereas 64-bit supports an awful lot more. The first thing she needs to do is upgrade the memory, depending on how much the system will support. Not knowing her age, I hesitate to recommend the best course which would be to get a new computer with lots of ram. I realize that may not be affordable, the next possibility is to upgrade to Win7 or Win8, they are slimmer, trimmer, more efficient versions of Vista. And if you do upgrade the OS, do not let anyone scare you about Win8. There are some major changes from Win7, but once you get to the desktop, it is like using Win7 or Vista. But, it sounds like ram is the main issue to start with.

Subject: [photoshop-beginners] Help with installation f CS5 to Windows Vista
I am trying to reinstall CS5 on my daughters Windows Vista computer. She has only 2 mb of RAM. It worked fine, but now when she tried to open a file, it crashes. We have tried reinstalling it but that doesn't help either. I am not that familiar with the Vista os, so if anyone out their can give me some suggestions, I would be so grateful, and so would my daughter. She does NOT like to use my computer!
