Re: [photoshop-beginners] Layers question

I would not be shocked that there is a better way...but what I do is chose the area that I want to change the color...create a new layer then I fill in with the color wanted then make that layer itself a color layer. Hopefully I have explained it enough for U to do it if U want...

Subject: [photoshop-beginners] Layers question

I have a picture in which i want to change the womans nail, lipstick and hair color. I know how to make the changes but what is the best layer approach? Should I CNTRL J on the background? if so do i then change the nail color and then duplicate that layer? or do i just start with a new layer? again after i change the nail color do i duplicate that layer or make a new blank layer? i have searched this topic a lot and find myself more confused. If anyone has a great tutorial please let me know -- I look forward to the feedback -- mike
