RE: [photoshop-beginners] creating a load to use to change hair

What you seem to be talking about are masks, looking at the tutorial the steps are marked, so at which step are you getting lost?  BTW, it looks like a good tutorial.  Basically, what he is doing is trying to get a mask that covers just the hair, This is difficult since hair can be so fine that the standard selection tools will not get it all.

Subject: [photoshop-beginners] creating a load to use to change hair

I have been working on changing hair and have learned many different ways. Mostly by creating new masks then assigning clipping masks so each choice i make (hue/saturation, levels etc) get mixed together. However, in the video i pasted below, the instructor created what appears to be a "shell" (after he highlights the hair with quick selection tool) that he simply loads to each new layer mask he chooses. I canot figure out how to make and load this "shell" can anyone help me out?? Mike
