RE: [photoshop-beginners] PSD



PSD is a file format.  PSD is an Adobe format that preserves layers and groups of layers while applying a bit of a smaller file than say a TIFF file.  Think of a PSD as a working file.  I save my edits as PSD files, just in case I decide to go back and change something or to remember how I processed a file.  Anything I post to share or send to get printed is sent as a JPG.
