Re: [photoshop-beginners] question about the latest photoshop

Actually ANY college course will qualify you for academic pricing of Photoshop & Lightroom.  I used a student photo ID from an eight week adult class to get CS3, and a tuition statement for a one Saturday six hour class to get LR-3 at academic pricing.

And the academic pricing copies can be updated just like full price versions.  No academic discount for upgrades.

Photoshop versions names ran in the sequence 1 - 7, then CS1 - CS6.  Version numbers shown on the startup screen continued incrementing after 7.  My copy of Photoshop CS3 is version 10.0, i.e. 7+3.

Did you know that if you take any Photoshop class at a college and it can be online and a grant will pay for it. you can get Photoshop CS6 extented for $349 on Amazon under student /teacher. It is the full version. All you need is a college student email for verification. This package includes the whole suite
