RE: [photoshop-beginners] Pbase

Pbase doesn't have a 'built-in' online store.  You may be able to link to one using CSS.  I believe Zenfolio, Smugmug have'built-in' online stores (you may have to pay for a "Pro level" account).  Fine Art America also has a built-in store where you establish the prices.  Each of these sites take a 'cut' from the sale.  I have sold photos through Fine Art America.

Is Pbase a place where you can sell your images? I looked at the site rules but I don't see anything explicit about how it works, only what you can and cannot do.
Do people really buy images?
I've used http://www.sxc.hu/ but never really tried to sell any images.
Do you sell print? or just jpegs?

Clay,  thank you for the information.

I looked at some of your photos. They are exquisite--true works of art.
I especially love Blue Spring Lake and Ally Spring Mill.  The others are
wonderful too. You have a very keen eye for design and photo expertise.
Please let us know when you add anything new.

I should have added version 2.5 was the first Windows version released in 1992.

Actually, I don't know. But someone else said that photoshop elements
has the tools I would need, so I'm happy about that. I just wondered
what the elements has that I do not. I'll have to check that out.

I am currently using photoshop 2 to make designs.

I know that this is a very very old edition. So I went

to the apple store to see what the latest photoshop has.

I was told that there are two: one for professionals and

one called Photoshop elements(which is much cheapter). I

happened to look at the more expensive one for professionals.

I wanted to see what it had that photoshop2 did not. Specifically,

I went to "filter".  I found that certain tools that I have were

missing...such as "artistic." (which has, for example, paint daubs,
palette knife, plastic wrap, poster edges...etc.)  I wondered whether

it is found under another name.  Is that included in Photoshop elements?

Thanks.

Susan
