[photoshop-beginners] Re: White band

To make a white band across your photo just create a top layer with a white line as thick as you want and then all you need to do is adjust the opacity of that layer. You will see it in real time as you adjust so you may choose the amount that suits you. You can create a batch action and you can add that white line to 100's of photos at once.

100 different ways to do this i hope this was
