RE: [photoshop-beginners] Windows and internet Explorer

The problem is that you are not too clear about the problem. If Windows is
gone you cannot boot your computer and will need to reinstall your OS. BUT,
do you mean that Windows Explorer is gone?? And you said that Internet
Explorer is gone. Which version of Windows do you have??? XP, Vista, or
7???

I am going to shoot blind as I do not know what is really missing. I assume
Windows is not missing otherwise you would not have been able to send this
email nor read the answers, unless you are using a friend's computer.
1. If you can boot up, Windows is not missing and you must mean
Windows Explorer.
2. If you see any of the toolbars, and the Start Button at the
bottom of the screen, you have not lost Windows Explorer, just the icon.
3. There are 2 ways to open Windows Explorer.
A. Click on the "Start Menu/Button" and look on the right
hand of the menu that pops up. Look down the right hand side until you see
either "Computer" or "My Computer". Click on it and you will have opened
Windows Explorer.
B. Click the "Start Menu/Button" In the search box type
"Windows Explorer". When Windows Explorer appears in the list on the left,
click on it and drag it to your desktop. It will now be installed on your
desktop.
4. For Internet Explorer, do 3B from above, except type in "
Internet Explorer". When it comes up in the list, drag it to your desktop
and you will be back in business.
5. IF I have diagnosed your problem correctly, you should be back in
business.

If I am wrong then I need a lot more information about what is wrong, and if
you need me to clarify my instructions, I will be glad to.
