RE: [photoshop-beginners] should I update my photoshop?

Go to the Adobe website and download the trial version of the software.  I believe they all have a 30 day  trial period. And this applies to ANY Adobe product, so you could try PSE and PS6, although it may be easier to try them separately J

Try the demo of PSE 11 and see if it will do the job, if not try the demo for PS6 and see how it works out.  Trying the demos will not cost anything and you can get a feel for what works best for  you.

I have a very very old version of photoshop which

I use to make abstract designs from photos or other pictures. I have Photoshop 2,

and I do not use all the tools on that one. I am wondering what more recent

photoshop tools...especially in design-- the newer ones have that this older version

does not.

Perhaps I will go to the Apple store and see for myself, but I wondered what you all think.

My computer skills are primitive.
