Have no idea about the time spent but it was considerable.  The hardest part and probably the most time consuming was placing the layers on the time line  to get the proper effect:  i.e. the lightning flash and the corresponding sound sound.  I previously had made a birthday greeting to send to friends on there birthday so I had done a little practice to see how the video function worked in CS6.  All I need to do now  is edit one text layer in the file with the birthday persons name.  example can be found at www.joetansey.com/Hali
