[photoshop-beginners] Re: should I update my photoshop?

I was in the same position. I have used PS 6 (not PSE6) for years. I wondered how the newest version of PSE compared. I downloaded the 30 day trial version (easy to do, just go the the adobe download site). Let me say that I was blown away. I think that PSE11 will do anything that I used PS6 for and then some.
