What is the SIZE of the BRUSH you are using? It sounds like your brush is HUGE and you are only seeing the very center of the brush as the crosshairs...

I recently upgraded to CS6 and the Liquify filter doesn't function the way my Liquify filter functioned in CS5. Instead of appearing like the brush tool the Forward Warp Tool appears as a mere cross-hairs and moves the entire canvas instead of a tiny portion of the image. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a new trick in CS6 that I don't know about?
