No rush. It is simply a concept I can use in a movie I want to make.
You may have to make a fill layer to add some color back to the sky and erase the part of the moon that you do not want to show over the bushes. The problem when i tried it for you was the white sky with a white moon..that is why I had to add color back in. Someone else might have another idea. When do you need this done? Add a moon on another layer and change the blend mode to multiply. I want to be able to move the moon behind the bushes. I need a psd image of bushes in one layer and the moon in another so I can use the psd file in a video and move the moon behind the bushes.

First of all, there are no layers to separate. What do you want to do with
the photo?

I have a single jpg image - a moon behind bushes and peeping above the top
of the bushes. Is there any way to separate these layers in PhotoShop? I
didn't create the image so I don't have the psd file.
