OK. It's not difficult to create an action. Are all your photos that you wish to trim the same size? Are they oriented the same i.e. landscape or portrait?I'll do an action and see if it works and let you know.JoAnn H

Yes I would too, if I knew how to do it manually and if I knew how to create an action.Kerry Koppert----- Original Message -----From: Ardith HeadSent: Saturday, March 10, 2012 1:02 PMSubject: Re: [photoshop-beginners] Automating trimming edgesI'm thinking you could create an action to do this.JoAnn H

Subject: [photoshop-beginners] Automating trimming edges
I am creating Mosaics of the moon from a number of tiff images. The tiff images are created by Registax 6 from 500 frame avi's. The individual Tiff files are created with a small 3 pixel wide light border (By the sharpening I think) and are 1024 x 768. What I would like to do is trim a 3 pixel wide border off each tiff. I can do this easily in Irfanview but this means dropping to 8 bit tiffs and I can manually use the crop tool in Photoshop to remove A small border (size unknown). What I would like to do is automate and quantify (make a known size) this cropping in Photoshop CS3. I guess it's real easy WHEN you know how. Can someone explain to this old man how to do this?Kerry Koppert
