You can turn "autorun" on and off. In face as far as security, it is better
off.
Some malware, uses autorun to install it self...

So it is not a issue, it is a option....

Try uninstalling the cd, then reinstalling it again. I have Windows 7 on
this laptop, and I HATE it. None of my cd's automatically open. I have to
click on the icon under "computer" to get anything to open, but the icon
has never not shown up. Since an icon didn't shortcut to the desktop, maybe
all of it didn't install.
