Hmm, when I D-click on the little boxes, I get the Color Picker. 

 

Try Shift+Alt+Right-Click mouse

When I click on the black and white background and forground colors the color picker does not come up what does come up iscolors box with RGB sliders,gray slider bar,cmyk slider and hsb sliders but no color picker with a row of empty boxes at the bottom

on your tool palette should be a little black square and a white one....actually two pairs in the same spot...a larger pair and a tiny pair. Just double click on that and the picker will pop up

I hope someone can help me out. I'm using photoshop cs5 am a beginner and don't know how to access the color picker. When I use the eyedropper tool and click on the color my color picker does not come up.
