Re: [photoshop-beginners] Blurry Image

Hi Delia,
Photoshop is a great program and if you run a sharpening filter, it will help the image, but only to a certain point.  Understand that no image editing software can put an out of focus image in focus; that has to be done in camera.  However, in the filters menu in Photoshop, under sharpen, are two very good filters: smart sharpen and unsharp mask. Try applying these filters to your image and adjusting the sliders and see what kind of results you get. Another option, also in the filters menu, is to apply a blur filter and adjust the sliders to give you an illusion of clarity. Again, there is no substitute for getting the image tack sharp right at the camera, but a little bit of playing around with Photoshop filters can sometimes fix or minimize some errors. Hope this helps and I would love to see the image. Sometimes a bit of motion blur can be a very good thing!!!
