Not all .cr2 files are created equal. A 5D [original] .cr2 file is not the same format as a 5D MK-II .cr2 file.

Adobe does not upgrade the raw file capabilities of a version of Photoshop after the next version is released.

I believe the 5D MK-II came out after PSCS-4. That means that you will need PSCS-5 to read the 5D MK-II .cr2 files.

I have not tried it but have heard that the free Adobe DNG converter is kept up to date. It should convert a 5D MK-II .cr2 file to a DNG which any version of PSCS should read.
