Check the mode (image, mode)  make sure it is not 16 bit.  Change to 8 bit

White BG and black text.  Doesn't matter what size I take

the text to, it still results in a horizontal line.

Make sure the text color is different than the background and also that it is large enough to be seen

Hi All,

 

I am suddenly having a problem with the text tool.

No matter what font or size I choose at that is

typed is a thing horizontal line.  This is happening

to me in CS3 and 5.

 

Can anyone suggest what the problem is, please.
