I had that same experience, too. I could get the fonts to download the
night I went to dafonts.com, but after reading your email, I went to that
site, and couldn't get the fonts to open the way they did that night. Anyway,
I googled the word dafonts, and saw a youtube video on how to download the
fonts. I already knew how to do that, but the way the video describes,
the downloaded font is supposed to automatically go into the fonts folder
under the control panel, but mine didn't. I couldn't even get it to go into
the folder I have set up offline, so I had to create a folder on the
desktop, direct the font there, then put it in the other folder. BUT, I still
can't get the fonts to open in photoshop. You're supposed to open photoshop
first, have open whatever you want to put text on, open the text you want to
use, then click on the text tool, and the font is supposed to open in
photoshop. But, I can't get the fonts to open in photoshop like I could in
paint shop pro. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Create a folder on your
desktop for the fonts you download, direct them there, and see if it works.
If it does, just open the folder you then want them to go into, and click
and drag them in. Hope this helps.
