I have refilled cartridges for maybe 10 years, with HP, Epson and
Canon brand printers. I would know of no reason why a printer would
take longer to print using generic inks versus factory ink! The
software sets the printers "rate of fire" / printer head speed, and
whether there was factory brand ink, generic brand ink, or colored
water / or nothing at all, the speed should remain the same. The printer itself, nor the software would have no way of knowing what type or brand of ink was being squirted through its printer heads.....
Different quality "print modes" will affect the speed of each page
printed, but can't see why different brands of inks would make any
difference. Perhaps your "print mode / quality" setting got changed
by mistake, that would seem to be the only logical reason for any
printing speed change(s). Curt H.
