RE: [Photoshop-beginners] tips new user of Photoshop CS5 on Macbook Pro

I would say learn the tools panel, not necessarily learn what all the tools
are, but when some says healing brush or marquee, you know where to look. Go
over the menus to get a rough idea of what each menu set is for. But,
overall, just grab picture, randomly :), and see what happens when you use
the different tools, or menu options. If there is ONE thing to study, study
layers if you are not familiar with them. Layers are probably the single
most powerful feature of Photoshop. They permit the non-destructive editing
of images.

Subject: [photoshop-beginners] tips new user of Photoshop CS5 on Macbook Pro

Hello Group members,

I'm pretty much starting as a new user to Photoshop CS5 on a Mac Book Pro
laptop computer I was wondering if anyone has tips for a new user. Any ideas
what I should learn first. As much as I want to just jump in I'm trying to
learn the basics first. Are there any users that can give me any tips.

I'm open for any advice. I've been going through the files and tutorials and
photos in the group.

Thank you for your help.
