Re: [photoshop-beginners] file naming on copy

If you duplicate an image to save a copy, PS automatically calls it blah blah copy.  When you go to save it, you just have to rename it in the appropriate area during the Save process....and then of course choose .jpg, in the next dropdown box choice, etc.

I suppose a set of Actions could be written to save it somehow, but writing the commands so that PS knows how to pick up each different original name off all the files you want to save and change them so they are saved is beyond my comprehension.... :)  good luck...

Any other thoughts out there on this?

Subject: [photoshop-beginners] file naming on copy

In PS CS3 is there any way to change the way the program names a copy?
Like if I want to make a jpg and I have to save it as a copy. Is there
any way I can have it to default to some other file name instead of
having " copy"  . I like to not have spaces in my file names.
