Re: [photoshop-beginners] Creating a texture

Think when you created your new document, it was not in RGB mode but gray scale.  Look under image/mode and see what is checked.  Also when you create new document make sure that color mode is set to RGB color

Subject: [photoshop-beginners] Creating a texture

Hi,

i am trying the following tutorial.

http://photoshoptutorials.ws/photoshop-tutorials/textures/metal-texture.html

It is very simple but still I am facing 2 issues.

Step3: In ADD NOISE popup window, MONOCHROMATIC checkbox is not enabled.

Step8: In Filter> Render> Lighting Effects: Lighting Effects option is not enabled.

Please help.

I am facing similar issues in almost all the tutorials – which is contradicting to what the tutorials say. Can someone suggest where can I find documentation to debug such issues?

Thanks,
Ashiq
