[photoshop-beginners] anything to avoid the pen tool

Ok I'll admit for years(15 to be exact) I would do anything to avoid the pen tool. I would do 5 steps the long way just not to deal with it. BUT today I really needed it to redo some artwork that needed to be traced. I hit google and youtube like I've done 100 times before and one tut after another was worse than the one before. I didn't have weeks to practice. Well this one I came across saved my butt. Learning curve 10 minutes. No kidding. Of course it just basic tracing but it at least got me started using the Pen on a real image.
