[Adobe_Photoshop_Techniques] watercolor paper

 

Hi, I am a new member. I've been working with Photoshop CS3 for a year or so and want to expand my knowledge; am particularly interested in creating "paintings".

For my current project I need a watercolor paper texture, but shouldn't it be the last layer so that the texture shows throughout the design and not just the background? Could you advise me how to do this? Thanks so much.
